Renovated Apple Store Opening Soon on Long Island

Renovated Apple Store Opening Soon on Long Island

Apple has announced that its store at Roosevelt Field in Garden City, New York, which is currently undergoing extensive renovations, will be reopening “soon.” Apple has not yet announced an exact date for the store’s grand re-opening.

The store closed for remodeling back in November and Apple has been operating its store in a temporary location on the west end of the mall while the renovations were in progress. Roosevelt Field is the largest mall on Long Island.

Apple first opened the Roosevelt Field store back in 2002. The remodeled store will boast a more modern design, featuring more wood, as Apple moves away from its former preference for stainless steel walls. The new store will likely follow the lead of Apple’s newer stores and will offer a dedicated pickup station for online orders.

The Roosevelt Field location is not the only Apple retail store undergoing renovation, as remodeling is currently underway at Apple The Galleria in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Apple Baybrook, outside of Houston, Texas. Apple is also working on an all-new Apple Store in Downtown Detroit. No firm opening dates have yet been announced for those locations.
