Apple on Monday unveiled iOS 26, it’s upcoming new iPhone operating system and once the new system software hits iPhones in the fall, Apple’s built-in Wallet app will offer boarding passes that support Live Activities. This means boarding passes in your Wallet will allow you to keep track of a flight at a glance on your iPhone’s lock screen and in the Dynamic Island on iPhone 14 Pro and newer handsets.
The Wallet app will also display relevant information, such as Maps to navigate airports, Find My to track important items and report missing bags, and more. Plus, new shortcuts will be available below the passes providing one-tap access to open Apple Maps for airport directions, and to open the Find My app for baggage tracking. The Wallet app also automatically updates flight details, including the flight’s gate and departure time.

Apple has now announced that the new board pass features will be available when flying 10 airlines at the start. The airlines offer support are:
- Air Canada
- American Airlines
- Delta
- JetBlue
- Southwest Airlines
- United
- Jetstar
- Lufthansa
- Qantas
- Virgin Australia.
iOS 26 is currently available for testing by developers through the Apple Developer Program, and a public beta will be available through the Apple Beta Software Program next month. The new iPhone operating system will be available to the puvblic this fall as a free software update for iPhone 11 and later. (Some older iPhones will not offer some of the new features available to users of newer iPhones.)
