When Apple unveiled iOS 26 back in June, it said a public beta of the new iPhone operating system would be made available in July. Well, it’s July, so where is the public beta? Have patience, as it won’t be long now.
Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman today said that Apple’s public betas should be released on or around Wednesday, July 23. The public betas of iPadOS 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26, and watchOS 26, and a bit more will also be available at some point next week.
We can expect Apple to release public betas of the following updates:
- iOS 26
- iPadOS 26
- macOS 26
- tvOS 26
- watchOS 26
- HomePod Software 26
- AirPods Firmware
Apple does not plan to offer a visionOS 26 public beta.
If you’d like to have access to the public betas, all you need to do is go to the Apple Beta Software Program website where you can gain access to the betas for free. Be sure to back up your devices before installing beta software, just in case you run into issues with the betas.
