Three out of four models of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 lineup will be equipped with more RAM than their equivalent iPhone 16 predecessors, says a new leak.
Fixed Focus Digital, an account with more than two million followers on Chinese social media platform Weibo, says the new iPhone 17 Air, the iPhone 17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max models will each be equipped with 12GB of RAM. The base model iPhone 17 will boast 8GB of RAM, which is the same amount found in the iPhone 16.
Fixed Focus Digital says we should expect the following amounts of RAM:
- iPhone 17: 8GB
- iPhone 17 Air: 12GB
- iPhone 17 Pro: 12GB
- iPhone 17 Pro Max: 12GB
The RAM amounts for the current iPhone 16 models are as follows:
- iPhone 16: 8GB
- iPhone 16 Plus: 8GB
- iPhone 16 Pro: 8GB
- iPhone 16 Pro Max: 8GB
Fixed Focus Digital also said the processors for the new iPhone 17 lineup would be:
- iPhone 17: A19
- iPhone 17 Air: A19 Pro (5 Core GPU)
- iPhone 17 Pro: A19 Pro (6 Core GPU)
- iPhone 17 Pro Max: A19 Pro (6 Core GPU)
