Apple Code Confirms Upcoming Vision Pro With M5 Chip

Code accidentally shared by Apple and found by MacRumors, reveals Apple is working on a next-generation version of the Vision Pro with an M5 chip.

While there have been plenty of rumors about an Apple Vision Pro 2 with an updated M-series chip, there has been a bit of confusion over what M-series chip the new headset would use. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the Vision Pro would have an M5 chip, Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman claimed the new headset would use the same M4 chip that powers the latest MacBook Air and iPad Pro models.

Based on Apple’s code, it looks like the next-generation Vision Pro will use the M5 chip.

The Vision Pro 2 isn’t expected to feature any design changes or hardware improvements, other than the new M-series chips. A new, more comfortable strap is said to be in the works.

We could see the Vision Pro 2 with M5 chip launch as soon as late this year.
