Apple Music’s six radio station have historically been available only inside the Apple Music app. However, the stations will now be available via TuneIn, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Starting today, Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits, Apple Music Country, Apple Música Uno, Apple Music Club, and Apple Music Chill will be available to TuneIn’s 75 million monthly active users. While the stations will continue to be ad free, Apple Music will be promoted with a link in the app and on the TuneIn’s website.
TuneIn is a cross-platform internet-based radio service that has more than 75 million monthly active users across a variety of platforms and devices. Apple reportedly approached TuneIn about the partnership toward the end of last year.
🎶📻 Your soundtrack on TuneIn just got bigger. Apple Music Radio is here! Hear Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits, Apple Music Country, Apple Música Uno, and more. All stations free & ad-free, no Premium subscription required.

The new radio station availability is a new weapon in Apple’s battle with Spotify, obviously hoping to convert Apple Music radio listeners on TuneIn into paying customers on Apple Music.
Apple Music has seen its share of digital music streaming subscribers in the last few years. The service’s share of subscribers in the U.S. fell from 30% in 2020 to 25% in 2024, while Spotify’s share of the listener pie rose from 31% to 37% during the same period.
