Apple on Tuesday seeded the release candidate of its upcoming macOS Sequoia 15.7 update to developers for testing, with the new seed coming one week after Apple released the third beta.
The candidate can be downloaded by testers from the settings app on each device.
According to Apple’s release notes, the update includes security fixes.
This update provides important security fixes and is recommended for all users.
macOS Sequia 15.6 was released just last week, and the rapid rise of macOS Sequoia 15.7 to candidate status indicates the new update addresses a critical security bug, so we’ll likely see it released to the public sometime in the next few days.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas or release candidates on their daily driver Mac. Instead, only install them on a device set aside for testing purposes.
