Apple Seeds First Beta of macOS Tahoe 26.1 to Developers for Testing

Apple today seeded the first beta of macOS Tahoe 26.1 to developers for testing. The new beta comes one week after the release of macOS Tahoe 26 to the public.

Registered developers can download the new beta software through the System Settings app. The ‌macOS Tahoe 26‌.1 beta is currently limited to developers.

We don’t yet know what’s included in the beta software, but we’ll share details when we learn what’s new.

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
