Apple’s Foldable iPhone Like ‘Two Titanium iPhone Airs Side-by-Side’ Says Journalist

Apple’s much-rumored foldable iPhone will boast an ultra-thin design that resembles “two titanium iPhone Airs side-by-side,” according to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman.

Gurman’s comments came in the Q&A section of his latest Power On newsletter. He says Apple’s first foldable iPhone will be “super thin and a design achievement,” combining the form factor of Apple’s thinnest iPhone with cutting-edge folding technology. Start saving your pennies though as he says the handsets is expected to carry a premium price tag of at least $2,000.

Apple’s uber-thin iPhone Air, which hit shelves last week, is a mere 5.64mm thick and is the Cupertino company’s thinnest iPhone to date, the only thinner device offered by Apple is the M4 iPad Pro, which measures in at an impressive 5.3mm thick.

The foldable iPhone’s production will be handled by Foxconn in China, denying recent rumors that say the new device could be handled in India. The device remains to be expected in 2026, somewhere around Apple’s traditional September launch window, “give or take,” says Gurman.
