While pre-orders of new iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, or iPhone 17 Pro Max models are now landing on porches around the globe, you may not have had the time or inclination to place a pre-order. Are you SOL? (Simply Out of Luck) Don’t worry, there is still a chance you can walk out of your local Apple Store with your new precious.
At the time of this article, Apple’s online stores in the United States and Canada haven’t yet been updated to show pickup availability. While there will almost assuredly there will be shortages of some models, colors, and configurations, stores in several European countries are already open, and iPhone 17 configurations are available for store pickup either today or on Saturday in several countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany, and Italy. Meanwhile, Apple Stores in Australia, China, Mexico, South Korea, India, the UAE are also showing same-day pickup availability.
To order a product with Apple Store pickup, add the product to your bag on Apple.com or in the Apple Store app, proceed to checkout, select the “I’ll pick it up” option, enter your ZIP or postal code, choose an available Apple Store location, select a pickup date, and select a 15-minute check-in window. You’ll complete payment online, and a valid government-issued photo ID and the order number may be required upon pickup.
Be warned that iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max availability can’t be guaranteed. Walk-in customers may be given lower priority upon arrival to the store.
You may be able to score a new iPhone from your carrier, but most carrier stores have a limited number of new devices in stock, so you may have to wait to have it delivered if you go that route.
