‘The Savant’ Pulled From Apple TV+ Schedule Just Days Before Expected Premiere Date

‘The Savant’ Pulled From Apple TV+ Schedule Just Days Before Expected Premiere Date

Apple has pulled “The Savant” from the Apple TV+ premiere schedule, just days before the new thriller starring Jessica Chastain was scheduled to debut. The show was originally set to launch on Friday, September 26.

Mentions of the premiere have been pulled from Apple’s social media, and the TV app now labels the show as “coming at a later date”.

As reported by 9to5Mac, Apple has yet to provide a new premiere date or publicly comment about the move. The series appears to be waiting in the wings for an as yet unconfirmed future premiere date.

As we reported last week, Chastain stars as a woman who is known as “the Savant” who infiltrates online hate-groups in order to prevent large-scale public attacks. The eight-part limited series also stars Nnamdi Asomugha, Cole Doman, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley, Toussaint Francois Battiste, and guest stars Pablo Schreiber.

It is possible that the Apple has put “The Savant” on pause due to recent real world events, including the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

9to5Mac pointed out that the delay is not a first for Apple TV+, as the third season of “Tehran” finished production in 2023 and has already aired on Israeli broadcaster Kan 11, but its Apple TV+ premiere is still on hold — likely due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.
