Apple Makes MLS Playoff Matches Available to All Apple TV Subscribers

Apple TV is making all Major League Soccer (MLS) playoff matches available for streaming to all subscribers, with no need for a subscription to the MLS Season Pass add-on, reportsĀ Sports Business Journal.

The league concluded its regular season with a full roster of Decision Day matches yesterday. FC Dallas and Real Salt Lake both clinched playoff berths on the final day of the season at the expense of the Earthquakes and Rapids.

Apple and MLS are likely looking to expose casual viewers to the Season Pass option, hoping to convert them to paying customers when the 2026 season kicks off. Apple in September adjusted MLS Season Pass pricing, cutting the price of access to MLS games from $79 to $25 for Apple TV subscribers, and from $99 to $29 for non-subscribers.

Apple continues to work to make Apple TV a hub for major league sports. Just days ago, Apple announced that it had secured exclusive rights to stream Formula 1 races in the United States, beginning next year.
