Apple marketing chief Greg Joswiak today teased that “something powerful is coming” on X (formerly Twitter). A short animated video accompanying Joswiak post shows a brief glimpse of a MacBook Pro, as well as the words “coming soon.”
The video also shows the MacBook Pro in the shape of a “V,” which is the Roman numeral 5. As pointed out by MacRumors, Joswiak also used “Mmmmm” in his caption, which is 5 Ms. This is likely an indication that the new MacBook Pro will be powered by an M5 chip.
As we’ve previously reported, Apple is widely expected to be planning to debut a new 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 processor.

Earlier this week, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said a base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 chip is “ready for launch.”
He expects Apple to release a base MacBook Pro with an M5 chip before releasing higher-end models powered by M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, which are expected to debut in early 2026. The M5 chip is expected to be the most significant change.
Gurman also expects Apple to unveil a new iPad Pro and Vision Pro with an M5 chip this week, and we could also possibly see the company debut new Apple TV and HomePod mini models.
