Hikawa iPhone Grip Is Sold Out on Apple Store But New Colors Are on the Way!

We told you on Friday about Apple selling the Hikawa Phone Grip and Stand, a new limited-edition iPhone accessory designed with accessibility in mind. While those sold out almost immediately, don’t fret, because two new color options are already in production for an early December release.

As first reported by MacRumors, new color options the MagSafe-compatible Grip and Stand – which can be pre-ordered directly from Hikawa’s website – are Cobalt and Blurple Swirl. The original Chartreuse and Crater color options sold out rapidly.

The accessories will run you £55 each (around $72 USD) and international shipping is available. However, order quickly, as stock is extremely limited.

The grip, designed by LA-based Bailey Hikawa to celebrate the 40th anniversary of accessibility at Apple, uses magnets to securely snap onto any iPhone with MagSafe. The grip is designed to be removed with ease, and can double as a stand boasting two different viewing angles, in both vertical and horizontal orientations.

The design process involved direct input from individuals with disabilities affecting muscle strength, dexterity, and hand control.

The Hikawa website also sells a range of rather unusual high-end iPhone cases, if that’s what you’re into. A selection of eye-catching toilet seats is also available on the site.
