iPhone-using baseball fans have something to celebrate, as Sony is bringing its popular video game MLB: The Show to the iPhone. The game has already launched in the Philippines and will launch around the globe in the near future
“We’re taking MLB The Show Mobile live in the Philippines,” the game makers announced today. “Realistic baseball gameplay on iOS and Android. This is step one. We’re testing, learning, and building toward broader availability.”
The development team calls it “a new standalone experience built from the ground up to deliver realistic baseball gameplay on mobile devices.”
The game is only available to download in the Philippines for now. The game makers say that there is no set timeline for when the title will officially launch in other regions.
Unfortunately, the won’t be any cross-platform support between the mobile and console versions of the game, nor is there an iPad-optimized version of the game as yet.
MLB: The Show Mobile will require iOS 26, and while older iPhones running iOS 26 are compatible, the game will feature “enhanced graphics, increased frame rates, and higher resolutions” on iPhone 16 and up.
