OLED MacBook Pro to Launch Q4 2026 Claims New Report

Apple will launch its first MacBook Pro models with OLED display in the fourth quarter of this year, according to a new report by Korean publication The Elec.

The report says Samsung Display will begin mass production of its eighth-generation OLED production line (A6) in May, marking the world’s first mass production of an eighth-generation OLED line.

Samsung is reportedly planning to ship two million of the displays to Apple by the end of the year. The panels will be shipped to Foxconn from the third quarter of 2026 for use in the machines.

Some components for the new MacBook Pro lineup are still in development, as Apple is still changing the design of some of the parts, as it works to reduce manufacturing costs for the new laptop. While Chinese firm BOE is still hoping to provide Apple with OLED displays to be used in the MacBook Pro, only Samsung displays will be used this year.

The OLED ‌MacBook Pro‌ lineup is expected to feature both 14- and 16-inch display size options, and be powered by M6-series chips. It will be the first major redesign of the laptops since 2021.
