Apple today released visionOS 26.4, the fourth update to its visionOS 26 operating system for the Apple Vision Pro, which launched in September 2025. Version 26.4 comes about 1.5 months after the release of visionOS 26.3.
The visionOS 26.4 update can be installed by opening the Settings app on the Vision Pro and going to the “General” section and selecting “Software Update.” The Vision Pro headset will need to be removed to install new software, and a progress bar will be available on the front EyeSight display.
visionOS 26.4 includes bug fixes and security improvements, as well as improved Spatial Audio, support for AirPods Max 2, and eight new emoji characters.

– Support for AirPods Max 2
– 8 new emoji including an orca, trombone, landslide, ballet dancer, and distorted face are available in the emoji keyboard
– Spatial Audio starts faster in familiar spaces by remembering the acoustic properties of rooms you’ve been in before
