Apple Seeds First macOS Tahoe 26.5 Beta to Developers For Testing

Apple Seeds First macOS Tahoe 26.5 Beta to Developers For Testing

Apple on Monday seeded the first developer beta of its upcoming macOS Tahoe 26.5 update. The new beta comes just a few days after the release of macOS Tahoe 26.4 to the public.

Registered developers can download the new beta software through the System Settings app. The ‌macOS Tahoe 26‌.5 beta is currently limited to developers, but it will likely soon be released to public beta testers sometime in the next few days.

So far, we don’t know exactly what is included in the new beta. Although Apple had been expected to introduce some Apple Intelligence Siri features in a Tahoe beta, recent rumors indicate Apple will hold off adding any new capabilities until iOS 27.

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
