Apple CEO Tim Cook is visiting China, and it looks like he has a busy travel itinerary! Cook attended his company’s 50th anniversary event outside of its Taikoo Li retail store in Chengdu today. The event included a performance by Chinese singer, songwriter, DJ and actress Li Yuchun.

The China Daily reports Cook is not only also scheduled to attend the China Development Forum in Beijing this weekend, but he will also meet with Chinese app developers, government officials, and some of Apple’s Chinese partners.

“We select China because China is so important for us,” Cook said.

“We have been in China for over 30 years of our 50 years.”

“Chengdu is one of the most vibrant cities in the world — full of innovation, full of entrepreneurship, and full of just chill.”

Apple announced that its suppliers in China saved a record 55 billion liters of fresh water last year through Apple’s Supplier Clean Water Program. Apple’s announcement comes just ahead of World Water Day on March 22. Apple provided an example, touting a new aluminum anodization process used for the MacBook Neo that “continuously recycles and recirculates water.”

Apple also announced that it is now sharing developer coding videos on the Chinese video sharing platform Bilibili.
