Sprint Makes a Grab for T-Mobile Customers – Offers Minimum $200 Trade-In

Hot on the heels of T-Mobile’s new Smartphone Equality program that allows good-paying customers to avoid credit checks for phone and plan deals, Sprint has announced a bid to grab T-Mobile customers.

Sprint Makes a Grab for T-Mobile Customers - Offers Minimum $200 Trade-In

9to5Mac:

Starting today, Sprint will guarantee any T-Mobile subscriber at least $200 credit for a currently activated and working T-Mobile smartphone when switching between carriers. The offer requires T-Mobile customers to move their phone number over to Sprint and trade-in a T-Mobile smartphone to a Sprint store to qualify.

Most of Sprint’s previous promotions targeted AT&T and Verizon, such as their recent “Cut Your Bill in Half” promotion, that offers to cut in half the bill of any current customer of either of the big two carriers.

Starting today, Sprint will guarantee all T-Mobile customers a minimum of $200 instant trade-in value when they take their wireless number to a participating Sprint store and trade in their current working T-Mobile smartphone.

The carrier will also pay up to $350 per line to cover the costs of switching carriers. The contract buyout offer will come in the form of a prepaid or reward debit card.

The promotion runs from today through April 9th.
