iHelicopter – An iDevice-Controlled RC Chopper You Can Actually Afford!

Do you love the idea of the Parrot AR.Drone, but can’t afford the $300 price tag that comes with it? A new device called iHelicopter is now available for just $60 to answer your cries!

The iHelicopter uses a small transmitter attacked to your iDevice’s headphone jack, as well as a free app from the Ap Store to control a remote-controlled quadricopter. The app uses your iDevice’s gyroscope to control your iHelicopter. Simply tilting your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad left, right, or forward will cause your chopper to move in the corresponding direction.

Also, to make life easier, there are no batteries required to use the iHelicopter, as both the transmitter and the chopper can be charged via USB. Unlike the AR.Drone, the iHelicopter does not include an in-flight camera, but at less than 25% of the cost, we’ll forgive them for excluding it.

The iHelicopter is available now, and comes in 4 separate designs. To learn more, or to purchase the iHelicopter for $60 USD (which includes free shipping anywhere in the world), simply head on over to iHelicopters.net. Meanwhile, check out the below video to see the iHelicopter in action!
