Sunday marked the 14th anniversary of the death of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, at the age of 56. Jobs died one day following Apple’s debut of the iPhone 4S and the initial version of Siri.
As he has for many years, Apple CEO Tim Cook paid tribute to Jobs on social media.
“Steve saw the future as a bright and boundless place, lit the path forward, and inspired us to follow,” said Cook, in a post on X. “We miss you, my friend.”

I’d like to join in remembering Steve Jobs. I thank him for everything he accomplished and built. Without Mr. Jobs, this website wouldn’t exist, and I wouldn’t be doing what I love today. Steve Jobs wasn’t perfect, but he was almost always interesting. We miss you Steve, thanks for everything.
