Apple Joins Other Tech Firms in Donating to President Trump’s $350M White House Ballroom Project

Apple has joined several other technology firms in contributing to US President Donald Trump’s 90,000-square-foot ballroom construction projects, according to a CNN report.

Construction began on the ballroom project earlier this week. Trump has said the new ballroom will cost $350 million and that it will be funded entirely through donations, and will not use taxpayer money.

The proposed ballroom will come in at an impressive 90,000 square feet.

Other tech firms that have donated to the project include Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and HP. The exact amounts donated by Apple and the other firms have not been announced.

According to CNN, the list includes the following companies:

  • Amazon
  • Apple
  • Caterpillar, Inc.
  • Coinbase
  • Comcast Corporation
  • Hard Rock International
  • Google
  • HP Inc.
  • Lockheed Martin
  • Meta Platforms
  • Micron Technology
  • Microsoft
  • NextEra Energy, Inc.
  • Palantir Technologies Inc.
  • Ripple
  • Reynolds American
  • T-Mobile
  • Tether America
  • Union Pacific Railroad

Other donors include co-founders of cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss; Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and his family; and the Adelson family.

There is no word on the specific amount that Apple donated toward the project.

Companies like Apple and the others have been making such gestures to the Trump administration in an effort to curry favor and avoid punitive action by the administration.
