Apple continues to find novel ways to promote the new Apple TV sci-fi series Pluribus, as now a hidden message will pop up when you search the popular show’s name on Google.
When you type in “Pluribus” in Google search, you’ll see a Pluribus-themed scrolling message: “What are you searching for, Carol?” If you’re a fan of the show, you know what kind of reaction Carol would have if that message popped up in her Google Search results.
The message appears when searching on Google via Safari on your iPhone or iPad, in the Google app, or in a browser on your Mac or PC.
If you’re one of the seven Apple TV subscribers that hasn’t yet become addicted to Pluribus, Carol is one of the few people left on earth the hasn’t been infected with a mind-melding virus. Until the collective figures out what makes Carol resistant to their charms, they do their best to make her happy. They also constantly check in with her to make sure she’s happy, which usually has the opposite result.
Apple TV has so far released four episodes of Pluribus, usually on a Friday. However, the fifth episode is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, November 25, most likely being released a bit earlier than normal, due to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday in the United States.
Pluribus requires an Apple TV subscription to watch. Apple TV is available on the Apple TV app in over 100 countries and regions, on over 1 billion screens, including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV 4K, Apple Vision Pro, Mac, popular smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Sony, VIZIO, TCL and others, Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation and Xbox gaming consoles, and at tv.apple.com, for $12.99 per month with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers.
