Apple Maps Gets ‘2026 Formula 1 Tracks Around the World’ Feature Ahead of F1 Season Opener

Apple Maps now offers a new guide called “2026 Formula 1 Tracks Around the World,” just ahead of the 2026 season which is available for streaming exclusively on Apple TV in the United States.

First spotted by 9to5Mac, the guide offers an excellent way for race fans to explore the circuits, starting with Albert Park in Australia. Apple will add more 3D circuit experiences to be added as the season progresses.

In Apple Maps, F1 fans can browse detailed circuit maps with things like turn numbers, grandstands, and even a 3D landmark of the F1 Pit Garage. For people attending the Australian Grand Prix in person, the Apple Maps experience also makes it easier to get around and follow directions.

  • Grand Prix Elements include realistic kerbs, labeled 3D grandstands and footbridges, and all 14 turns marked on the circuit.
  • Pop-Up Locations show race entrance gates, amenities like restrooms, water stations, first aid, and merchandise stands, plus walking directions to your grandstand.
  • 3D Grand Prix Circuit Landmarks depict key structures around Albert Park, including the Pit Building, grandstands, Lakeside Stadium, the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre, and the Finish Line.
  • 3D Melbourne Landmarks cover city points of interest like AAMI Park, Eureka Tower, Luna Park, Marvel Stadium, Rod Laver Arena, the Royal Exhibition Building, the Shrine of Remembrance, and St. Paul’s Cathedral.

The 2026 F1 season starts in Australia on March 8. Last October, Apple and Formula 1 announced a five-year partnership making Apple TV the exclusive broadcaster of all F1 races in the United States beginning in 2026.

Apple TV will deliver full coverage of Formula 1, streaming all practice, qualifying, Sprint sessions, and Grands Prix to Apple TV subscribers. Select races and all practice sessions will also be available for free in the Apple TV app throughout the course of the season.

Apple also says it will “amplify” the sport across Apple News, Apple Maps, Apple Music, and Apple Fitness+. The free Apple Sports app will feature live updates for every qualifying, Sprint, and race for each Grand Prix across the season, providing real-time leaderboards, season driver and constructor standings, Live Activities to follow on the Lock Screen, and a designated widget for the iPhone Home Screen.
