Apple on Tuesday seeded the first developer beta of its upcoming macOS Tahoe 26.6 update. The new beta comes two weeks after the release of macOS Tahoe 26.5 to the public.
Registered developers can download the new beta software through the System Settings app. The macOS Tahoe 26.5 beta is currently limited to developers, but it will likely soon be released to public beta testers sometime in the next few days.
So far, we don’t know exactly what is included in the new beta. Apple is expected to unveil its upcoming macOS 27 operating system at WWDC26 in June, meaning it is focusing primarily on that. So it is likely that Tahoe 26.6 will focus on bug fixes and performance improvements.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
