Apple to Open Europe’s First Developer Center in Berlin Later This Year

Apple today announced the opening of Europe’s first Apple Developer Center in Berlin later this year. The new facility will join existing Developer Centers in Bengaluru, Cupertino, Shanghai, and Singapore.

The new Berlin center, which will be located in Mitte district, will be created for teams of all sizes and at every stage of app development, offering developers throughout Europe in-person sessions, workshops, and one-on-one appointments in multiple languages. The new center will also offer consultation areas and dedicated labs staffed by Apple experts.

Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, Susan Prescott, said in the press release:

Europe is home to an extraordinary community of developers who are building apps that create connections, encourage creativity, and drive innovation. We have always believed that when developers have the right tools and resources to do their best work, incredible things follow. That belief is what this center is built on, and we look forward to seeing what the community continues to build.

The center will regularly host a events covering iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS development. Apple said the events will help developers improve the design, quality, and performance of their apps.

Apple noted that in 2025 alone, storefronts across Europe saw more than 150 million average weekly users, helping developers at every stage grow their businesses and reach new customers. App entrepreneurs also have access to the App Store Small Business Program, which includes a 15 percent reduced commission rate to support small and individual developers who are spurring continued app innovation.

Apple says the Developer Center Berlin builds on the company’s investment in the next generation of talent, which includes programs like the Swift Student Challenge, a network of 19 Apple Developer Academies worldwide, and Apple Foundation Programs in Italy and France that have supported thousands of developers across Europe.
