The Apple Sports app was updated today to version 4.2, adding support for additional soccer leagues in Asia and Europe, plus the ability to see formations across most soccer leagues. The update comes one day after the 2026 FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and Spain.

- Coming out of World Cup 2026, there’s more soccer ahead, so fans around the world can keep up with their favorite leagues. Apple Sports is adding the Belgian Pro League, Danish Superliga, Dutch Eredivisie, Japanese J1 League, Polish Ekstraklasa, Scottish Premiership, and Swiss Super League.
- Now you’ll be able to see formations across most soccer leagues, making it easier to visualize the starting lineup for each match.
The new leagues available in the app are:
- Belgian Pro League (Belgium)
- Superliga (Denmark)
- Eredivisie (Netherlands)
- J1 League (Japan)
- Ekstraklasa (Poland)
- Scottish Premiership (Scotland)
- Swiss Super League (Switzerland)
Apple Sports is an iPhone only app, and is available free in the App Store.
