Apple will release iOS 27 today, Monday, September 14. The new software will bring the Siri AI capabilities that we’ve been anticipating lo these many years, as well as a number of other new features. But, when can we expect to be able to download and install this latest Apple hotness?
Based on releases in previous years, we are likely to see the update become available around 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time/1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Plus, as noted by MacRumors, Apple’s own international websites indicate a 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time rollout, with Apple’s site for India listing a September 14 launch while the sites for Singapore, Hong Kong, and others in that area of the world show a September 15 release. That indicates a release window around 10:00 a.m. Pacific, as it lines up with time zones where it will be after midnight in some of those countries.

Installing iOS 27
When iOS 26 becomes available, make sure your iPhone has been backed up recently, and is fully charged before you start the installation process over WiFi. Get a cup of coffee and maybe a snack, as the update may take some time to complete. You may even want to wait until later in the day or even the next day to update your device, as the Apple servers will probably be hit hard at first.
To check for the update, go to “Settings” -> “General” -> “Software Update,” and wait a moment for your device to contact Apple’s servers. You can also opt for the update to be installed while you sleep with your iPhone or iPad on a charger on your nightstand.
Other Releases Today
In addition to iOS 27, othe “27” updates will be released about the same time, including iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27.
