Apple Inc have filled a patent lawsuit against long standing and now bitter rival Samsung Electronics. The patent was filled on Wednesday in South Korea and cites Samsung as copying Apple’s design in their Galaxy S Smart Phone.

“We have filed a lawsuit against Samsung with the Seoul Central District Court,” said Steve Park, a spokesman for Apple Korea.

The claim from Apple states that Samsung knowingly copied the design of the iPhone 3 and incorporated it in the Galaxy S.

Steve Park continue to vent against Samsung, and said “This kind of blatant copying is wrong, and we need to protect Apple’s intellectual property when companies steal our ideas”

Although Apple was Samsung’s second largest supplier of electronics in 2010, they have knocked heads on a number of issues when it comes to their mutual interests in the smart phone and tablet sphere. This most recent lawsuit is one of a number of back and forth tugs between the two giants.
