Rumor Whiplash: DigiTimes Now Says Retina iPad mini to be Released in October

The entire staff of DigiTimes must constantly be nursing severe cases of whiplash. The publication with the questionable track record has now reversed course on previous reports about delayed Retina display iPad mini release dates, and now says the device will be released in October. OW! My neck!

No, not this kind of Whiplash...
No, not this kind of Whiplash…

DigiTimes, via 9to5Mac:

The sources also added that LG is reportedly making new headway in producing Retina panel technology for use in the next-generation iPad mini, and expects to ship about 2-3 million units a month in preparation for Appleā€™s expected October release date.

So, nothing solid, still just rumors. SIGH! We’ll keep an eye on things like this as they pop up, and we’ll faithfully report them to you, our eager readership. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I’ll send a box full of neck braces over to the folks at DigiTimes, they can probably use them.
