Apple Adds ‘Designed for iOS 7’ Section to App Store

Apple Adds ‘Designed for iOS 7’ Section to App Store

Following the release of the new, dramatically redesigned iOS 7 update earlier today, Apple has launched a new section in the iOS App Store to showcase and highlight apps that are specifically optimized to take advantage of the design and feature changes in iOS 7. There’s little doubt that iOS 7 is the most dramatic iOS update thus far – so it makes sense for Apple to reward developers with an extra nudge for going to extra effort with their apps to showcase the changes.

Designed for iOS 7

The new section only contains a small sample of iOS-optimized apps, in reality – some of the best and most popular, including Evernote, OpenTable, Zite, and others. The new section also appears in the iTunes Store on Mac and Windows desktops using the new iTunes 11.1 update. Visit Apple’s link for the new category to check out the showcase for yourself!
