iPhone SE 4 Leak Shows Dynamic Island

A new iPhone SE is expected to launch this year and well-known leaker Evan Blass has shared a new image that suggests the upcoming iPhone SE 4 will have Apple’s Dynamic Island feature.

In a private post on “X,” Blass shared an image, of what appears to be source code mentioning an iPhone SE (4th Gen). This does cast doubt on previous rumors claiming the new budget handset would be called the “iPhone 16E.”

Blass also shared an supposed image of the new iPhone SE, showing a Dynamic Island in place of a notch, seen above. Currently, the Dynamic Island is available on the iPhone 14 Pro models, all four iPhone 15 models, and all four iPhone 16 models.

Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes the iPhone SE 4 will be released around March or April 2025, just like all previous iPhone SE models were.

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to feature a USB-C port and Face ID, replacing the Touch ID Home button and the Lightning port the current iPhone SE is equipped with.

The fourth-generation iPhone SE’s display is said to considerably increase in size, from the current 4.7 inches to 6.06 inches, and will also feature an OLED display panel for the first time. The new ‌iPhone SE‌4 is also expected to be powered by the same A18 chip as the iPhone 16 lineup. The handset is expected to include 6GB to 8GB of LPDDR5 memory, an aluminum chassis, and a single rear 48-megapixel camera.

The fourth-generation ‌iPhone SE‌ is expected to carry a price tag of $499 to $549. The current iPhone SE debuted in March 2022 and carried a $429 price tag.

Blass also mentioned new iPad Air and entry-level iPad 11 models in his posts, which appear to lack any obvious external design changes. Those new iPads are also likely to be announced by March or April this year.
