New models of the Apple TV and HomePod mini could hit store shelves as soon as this month, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Gurman’s comments came in the most recent edition of his “Power On” newsletter on Sunday.
Gurman said that Apple retail stores have told employees an overnight refresh is on the way for the evening of November 11, where displays will be refreshed and new products displayed for the following day.
While the overnight refresh could simply be the stores getting ready for the upcoming holiday season, there is a possibility that it could be related to the launch of new Apple TV and HomePod mini models. Gurman notes that inventory of current models of the two devices has become tight, likely signaling that new versions are on the way. He added that if the new devices do not launch by the end of 2025, the launches “shouldn’t be far off.”
… A shrinking stockpile can often signal that new versions are getting close to release. If those refreshed models don’t arrive before year’s end, they still shouldn’t be far off — especially since they’ll help showcase the new Siri and Apple Intelligence features planned for next year.
We shouldn’t expect any new Mac models, as during the Apple earnings call earlier this week, the company seemingly indicated that we won’t see any new Macs for the rest of this year. This makes new Apple TV and HomePod mini the likeliest candidates for a 2025 release.
