Apple CEO Tim Cook on Friday announced that the company will make a donation toward relief and rebuilding work on the ground in Nepal and Tibet, where flash floods and mudslides have killed hundreds of people.

On Wednesday, part of a Himalayan glacier collapsed, briefly damming a river before a surge of water and mud struck communities downstream. Hundreds are dead or missing, and roads, bridges, and homes near the Nepal–Tibet border have been destroyed by the catastrophe.
Apple has been supplying a lot of disaster relief over the last few months, providing support to recovery efforts in Indonesia, Venezuela, Japan, and Southern Europe.
While Apple has donated to the Red Cross for earthquake and hurricane relief efforts in the past, it traditionally doesn’t announce the amount of the donations. If you would like to contribute to Red Cross relief efforts, visit the Red Cross donation website.
