Apple has seeded the second betas of its upcoming tvOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2, and visionOS 27.2 operating systems to developers for testing. The new betas come one week after the first beta release.
Registered developers can install the betas from the Software Update section of the Settings app on each device.
Apple skipped the 27.1 version of the three operating systems, going directly to 27.2, to keep the new versions in sync with the iOS 27.2 beta that was also released today. We explain why Apple skipped iOS 27.1 here.
With iOS 27.2 and watchOS 27.2, Apple is testing the new Health app that it showed off during its iPhone event. The updated app offers new Insights and Longevity tabs, as well as a readiness score calculated from information provided by the new Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 models.
At the time of this writing, there’s no word on what’s being added in tvOS 27.2 and visionOS 27.2. As new features are discovered, we will update this article.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Apple TV, Apple Watch or Vision Pro. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
